For all gore horror fans, a trailer for the new installment to the Final Destination franchise has dropped a few days ago. “Final Destination: Bloodlines” is set to release in theaters on May 16th, 2025. This is the final film of legendary actor Tony Todd before his untimely death. The installment boasts some up and comers such as Brec Bassinger and Richard Harmon, a fresh start considering the last “Final Destination” installment was released 14 years ago.
The trailer is already giving us that vintage tension with the shot of a broken piece of glass mixed with ice. An idea that is pretty cool for a horror film of this style. The rest of the sequence is filled with montages of chaos, death, and destruction. This all ensues until it is closed by the appearance of Tony Todd’s character giving his monologue.
With a tone setter like that, it’s clearly got many people hyped for a new installment. As trailer traffic has shown, “Final Destination Bloodlines” has racked up 178.7 million views globally. The second best for the horror genre, right behind “It” which garnered 200 million views worldwide.
The long-awaited title proves that this movie is going to be successful. Hopefully, it carries the same slasher-esque insanity that the “Final Destination” franchise is known for. But that’s for you all to determine when it releases near the end of Spring.
