John Cena: Wrestling Legend

Every sport has a player that people automatically picture when the topic is discussed, regardless of what they think of them. Tom Brady is the face of football. Lebron James is the face of basketball. In the case of wrestling, the one person that you think of is John Cena.

Of course, it’s important to note that WWE and other wrestling networks like it are completely scripted, with the matches having predetermined outcomes to foster a narrative. It is less of a competition and more of a show, but that doesn’t make it any less impressive. The amount of dexterity and strength it takes to pull off choreographed maneuvers is no small feat, not to mention the acting chops one needs to convey strong emotions to a crowd of thousands.

John Cena has been a long-time favorite ever since his debut in 2002. He quickly became a household name in WWE and spear-headed many rivalries and storylines. He was a constant contender for the championship and even claimed the title several times. He was loved inside and outside the ring, sporting a very down-to-earth personality. For every new villain that appeared on the scene, Cena filled the role of the hero.

His accomplishments don’t stop in his wrestling career. He has had a long commitment to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and many other charity organizations. His career has steered more into acting roles for television and movies, where he displays his talents as an actor. Though he hasn’t made an appearance in WWE for a while now, his impact made waves for the community that is still present to this day. No matter where life takes him, he will always be remembered as a wrestling legend.
