With the first season of the show being a huge success, it was only a matter of time before the second season of “Wednesday” would be released. Although the production saw many delays due to internal and external issues, we finally got to see the continuation of the story with the first half of the season.
In terms of quality, I would say that this first half matches the first season in many aspects. The story continues to use its elements of mystery and comedy to garner our attention, while also giving all the old and new characters time to develop further. Some notable faces are gone from the show due to casting problems, like Percy Hynes White as Xavier. However, there are also new characters to enjoy, like Steve Buscemi as the new principal. Even if you don’t fully remember what happened in the previous season, the show makes the effort to include enough recaps to fill the gaps. So far, the show has been very enjoyable and was worth the long wait.
However, there is one thing I must warn you about for those who haven’t seen the season yet. Because this season is being split into two parts, the fourth episode leaves off with a huge cliffhanger, which is understandably upsetting for those who want to see what happens. Personally, I am not a huge fan of shows that do this, so I recommend waiting till the whole show is out before watching it. The other half of the show is supposed to come out in September, so it won’t be a long wait. I can’t wait to see the rest of the show!
