Last night, Sunday, June 28th, saw the annual BET Awards for 2026! Celebrating black culture and influence within the music and entertainment industry, many celebrities turned out for the award show and left many viewers stunned in their breathtaking suits and gowns!
The first to turn heads was Teyanna Taylor! Gracing the red carpet in a maroon ball gown, Taylor shocked everyone when she debuted styled in a unique dress by Wayman Bannerman and Micah McDonald. As reported by Vogue, Taylor’s dress “revolved around a colorful array of sculptural gowns that featured strong, powerful shapes.” And I couldn’t agree more.
The second celeb that had everyone talking was the beautiful Doechii. Styled by the talented Sam Wolf, this American singer and rapper left many stunned when she stepped out wearing a floor-length, crochet gown! A new and different style for the singer, Doechii, sure left an impression last night at the award show. Additionally, wearing vintage Louis Vuitton heels from Spring 2009, Doechii has proved that anything can go together with the right amount of confidence!
And the last celebrity people could not get enough of is Lizzo. Similar to Doechii, Lizzo additionally wore a floor-length gown that clung just enough to really display her silhouetted form. Golden brown with a hint of sparkle, Lizzo’s gown can be described as “A tasteful, skin-bearing silhouette” with a “semi-transparent effect”.
