Are Built-In Bras Making A Comeback?

As the summer months continue, fashion trends have adapted accordingly. Additionally, as the world is increasingly gripped by rising temperatures, people are finding ways to stay cool, especially through their clothing. For women, this has recently come in the form of rising trends within built-in bras.

Bras are a complicated piece of clothing for many women. Many are unfortunately uncomfortable to wear, whether it be because of metal wire or general discomfort. Unsurprisingly, this has led many women to flock towards clothing with built-in bras, more specifically, within light clothing like tank tops.

Oftentimes, bras are a hassle to wear, especially in humid heat. Built-in bras eliminate that hassle easily and can even free up space in a person’s closet. Built-in bras are also great for travel and athletic activities.

For younger generations that prioritize comfort, leisurewear, and ways of freeing their wardrobes without sacrificing style, built-in bras are a great addition. Gen Z women in particular have been leading the charge against the restrictive designs of many modern bras. While some have jumped all in within the braless TikTok trends, built-in bras are a great way for those who aren’t comfortable with that or who want to ease in.

Granted, built-in bras are still largely supportive of women of smaller cup sizes and weight, but that doesn’t mean larger cup sizes for built-in bras don’t exist. That said, they can definitely be more expensive, due to many likely needing to get them custom-made to fit their size.
