As a creative person who works in the field of writing, whether it be games, articles, or even music videos I know that it is a hard market to compete against AI. That being said, I do use it to help me get out of writer’s block as a push to help me go forward. I don’t completely copy what they give me but it does help brainstorm.
The people who are against AI think of it negatively and their fear of it taking over jobs, but that is the thing, it was already happening before all these AI sites became a thing. Those self checkouts at the grocery store are taking jobs of cashiers. The kiosks at fast food places that let you order food without talking to anyone, there goes the job for the cashiers.
People make all these rules not to use it but they don’t know the good that comes from it. Sure some people wouldn’t want a robot doing their heart surgery operation but it could save someone’s life if there are no doctors available. Some people wouldn’t want their children taught by robots but they only teach the things they have been taught.
What people don’t realize is that real humans made AI a thing, they train them, they know only what they’ve been taught. One that helps program games doesn’t just know code, one that can give you a list of job openings didn’t just make a list, it searched google for the best results for what you ask. AI is a thing now and it’s not going to just go away. We need to start seeing it as a positive and not a thing that will destroy the world.
I think that the ones that are against it, don’t understand it, they need to learn from the ones that use it everyday, that train it and see the good of it. In the end AI will help us rather than destroy us.
