A$AP Rocky’s effect on Men’s fashion

Those who are familiar with A$AP Rocky know about his unique style. This has led to many collaborations with big-time brands like Gucci and Dior. These companies seek his endorsement for their products due to Rocky’s rich history of trendsetting for the younger generation, whether walking on the streets of New York or performing at Dodger Stadium he always brings the heat. So, let’s look into some of the things Rocky has made popular over the years.

Big Bags

A$AP Rocky has never been afraid to be himself or try something new. This reigned true when he began carrying around large bags everywhere he went. These large designer bags were originally targeted toward a female audience. In addition, with these photos surfacing men became skeptical about wearing this kind of thing around. Bottega Veneta used these paparazzi pictures to promote their campaign, and it worked.

Babushkas

Rocky dawned an old-school babushka at the 2018 LACMA Art + Film Gala. While some mocked him, stating that it was for grandmothers, it started a trend. Men and women, young and old, started wearing these around as streetwear. He used social media to defend himself and motivate people to wear what they want. “I’m encouraging all guys to wear babushkas from here on out. Silk Gang, Silk City.”

Puffer Jackets

Puffer jackets are not exactly unique fashion items, but the ones Rocky wears fall under that category. Countless photos show him walking around in the winter with some wild jackets. Whether it be bright pink ones, oversized ones, or even sleeveless ones, Rocky can make it distinct and fashionable. Plenty of artists have done the same, and the oversized puffer jacket has become a staple in the rap game.

Although these are only a few examples, A$AP Rocky has been making fashion statements for decades and continues to set new trends with every new outfit we see on the red carpet.
