American actress, producer, and writer Alison Brie was born on December 29, 1982. Daughter of Joanne Brenner and Charles Terry Schermerhorn, Brie grew up mainly with her mother and older sister after the divorce of her parents. Raised in Los Angeles, California, Brie rather quickly developed a love and admiration for the arts and acting while performing at the Jewish Community Center.  

While pursuing her BFA at California Institute of the Arts, Brie starred in a few productions that demonstrated her acting abilities. Lending her talent in the world premiere of The Peach Blossom Fan, Brie performed at the inaugural theater at Disney’s REDACT Theater, enhancing and pivoting her future career in the entertainment industry.

With 31 nominations and 8 award wins, Brie has been recognized in many films and television series she has starred in across her career. Most notably winning the Actor Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series, Brie’s talent, range, and dedication are recognized within the entertainment industry.  Now, at the beautiful age of 43, Brie’s career seems to be on the rise with upcoming films, ”Masters of the Universe” (2026) and “The Revisionist” (2026).
