Dakota Fanning was born on February 23, 1994. Oldest daughter of Steven and Heather Joy Fanning, Dakota Fanning was born and raised in the city of Conyers, Georgia. Relocating to Los Angeles in January of 2000, the Fanning family initially moved for Dakota Fanning to audition for small and local commercials. However, Los Angeles was soon to become their permanent residence when Dakota Fanning’s acting career took off!

Beginning as a child star, Dakota Fanning starred in many films that defined a generation. Films such as “The Cat In The Hat” (2003), “Uptown Girls” (2003), and of course, “Coraline” (2009), Dakota Fanning quickly became a household name!
And this is echoed today. Starring in recent films, such as “Vicious” (2025) and “The Watchers” (2024), Dakota Fanning is proving that she is anything but done. Especially with her upcoming film, “The Nightingale,” which is set to release next year, we are sure to see more of her talent very soon!
