Books That Will Make You Love Reading

If you aren’t a fan of reading, it could be because you have never picked up the right book. If you have liked reading but have found it hard to get into a good book lately, here are some reads that will make you love, or remind you that you still love reading.

  1. The Catcher in the Rye

This classic by J.D. Salinger, is a phenomenal read for any age. The narration style is easy to follow, where the speaker, Holden Caulfield tells the reader exactly what he is thinking. I recommend reading this once as a teenager, and then again, a little later in life. Caulfield may seem normal, being read from the teenage perspective, but a few years of experience will invite you to see his psychological issues that are holding him back. If you never read it as a teenager, it’s not too late to pick up a copy.

  1. The Help

Maybe you have seen the movie, but the book seemed intimidatingly long. The book may be thick, but it is full of heroism, unlikely friendships, and even a little humor. Author Kathryn Stockett brilliantly switches between the perspectives of three different characters with very different personalities to share the experience of the racial divide between the maids and the housewives. This is a book that’s much easier to pick up than it is to put down.

  1. Anything written by Janet Evanovich

If reading is just overwhelmingly boring to you, Evanovich can provide some relief. Her murder mystery/comedy/romance/action/adventure style will no doubt keep you entertained from cover to cover. I suggest starting with the number of novels and reading in order, but they can be read in any order.
