Every Upcoming A24 Movie Releasing in 2022

With titles like Lady Bird and Midsommer under its belt, A24 has established itself as an indie production company to keep an eye on. With over 15 movie productions a year, the first half of 2022 has seen some quirky new gems from this company already, like the goofy fantasy Everything Everywhere All at Once, or throwback horror movie X.

For the second half of 2022, A24 still has some promising titles coming at us, from horror slashers to comedies to heartbreaking family dramas.

‘The Eternal Daughter‘

‘God’s Creatures’

This Irish psychological drama follows a mother whose defense of her son leaves her at odds with a traditional fishing community.

‘Showing Up’

In this drama, Michelle Williams plays a sculptor preparing for an important exhibition. This is Williams’ fourth collaboration with director Kelly Reichardt after Wendy and Lucy, Meek’s Cutoff, and Certain Women. Fans of Reichardt will be anticipating how her minimalist artistic view of America’s rural life translates to a big city.

‘The Whale‘’

Brendan Fraser and Sadie Sink star in this psychological drama about a 600-pound middle-aged man named Charlie as he tries to reconnect with his 17-year-old daughter after walking out on her for years to pursue his lover. This drama will deal with abandonment issues and binge-eating.
