When the Yankees made the deal for Jazz Chisholm one of the happiest players on the team was Gleyber Torres.
When I spoke to him the first thing out of his mouth was that this gives us another strong weapon.
He actually broke it down in the great ways that Yanks manager Aaron Boone can use him.
There was never a selfish thought when talking about the acquisition of Jazz. It was totally what was best for the team. Gleyber also made note of the fact that this has inspired the club during a difficult period. In the three-game series, Gleyber had five hits and four big RBIs. Gleyber was definitely a force in the two games won at Fenway this weekend which included the big homer and double. He has also made a consorted effort to hit the ball to right field as much as possible.
Now the Yankees go on to Philadelphia and play a very strong Phillies team.
This will be a good test for Gleyber and the Bronx Bombers.
