Gucci Westman is an American makeup artist, cosmetic designer, and founder of Westman Atelier. Born in California, Westman and her family moved to Europe when she was 10, and she was raised in Sweden. Later, when Westman often spent time in Switzerland, she gained an interest in makeup, eventually leading to her studying makeup at a Paris beauty school.

Some of Westman’s earliest professional work was working as a special effects artist in Hollywood for films like Sex in the City, Buffalo ‘66, and Being John Malkovich, to commercials and music videos for Spike Jonze. Some of the film directors Westman worked closely with included David Lynch, Tarsem, Sam Bayer, Michael Bay, Bruce Weber, and Annie Leibowitz.

Eventually, Westman relocated to New York City and began working for Vogue editor Grace Coddington, who became Westman’s launching point into working within high-fashion editorial.

Westman became a notable figure in the high fashion space, working with a number of celebrities. Westman has collaborated with high-profile celebrities such as Drew Barrymore, Natalie Portman, Gwyneth Paltrow, Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Aniston, Anne Hathaway, Reese Witherspoon, and Gwyneth Paltrow and more. Additionally, Westman worked on a number of editorial covers for Vogue, Allure, W magazine, and Harper’s Bazaar.
