Labubus, Keychains and Scarves: The Purse Accessories Everyone’s Obsessed With

Purses used to be about, well, purses. Now the newest “it girl” fad is…purse accessories? You heard right. Accessories aren’t just for clothes anymore, but for the accessories themselves. Whether it be a scarf, keychain or the latest Labubu trend, hanging something from your bag is the new cool look. But why do these small touches have the power to take your fit from basic to stylish?

First off, bags are expensive. And fashion cycles are constantly changing. What you thought was still in, might be “so last season.” You might find yourself in a cycle of splurging on the cutest new purse, just to find that no one thinks it’s cool anymore.

This is where these accessories come in. They are the best way to refresh a look without breaking the bank. Bored of your brown tote? Tie a colorful headscarf around it. Is your crossbody just not exciting enough? Grab a charm keychain to add some pizzazz.

Still, one question remains. Is it worth the hype? Many argue that these accessories are unnecessary purchases that have no real function. For the most part, they are correct. These add-ons serve mostly as aesthetic enhancements, adding personality and flair, rather than contributing to overall function.

Others argue that this trend is sure to die out soon – as most do. I argue, however, that because of its versatility and easy use, these accessories seem to be equipped to stay around. Especially since they allow people to change up looks without committing to big purchases.

One of the best draws is how attainable these accessories are. Scarves, keychains and even Labubus come in a range of prices and styles, making it easy for anyone to join in on the trend. This explains why so many people are embracing the new look.

So yes, maybe they don’t have any function, but, who cares, they’re cute! I’m all for a cute, new trend that is affordable. So grab that old scarf, tie it around your bag and join the fun – because sometimes style is about the little things.
