Ari Staprans Leff, known professionally as Lauv, is an American singer, songwriter, and music producer. His 2018 single, “I Like Me Better” became a sleeper hit and put him in the spotlight over time.

Lauv has also written and produced several tracks for artists such as Charlie XCX, Demi Lovato, and Celine Dion. His compilation playlist, “I Met You When I Was 18 (The Playlist)” on Spotify helped him gain many fans before he put out his debut album, “How I’m Feeling,” which features many artists such as K-pop sensations BTS, Alessia Cara, Sofia Reyes, Troye Sivan, and indie-pop band LANY.

The 27 year-old singer has also been open about mental health issues through his platform and his music. He has donated proceeds from songs to mental health organizations in an effort to erase the stigma surrounding mental health.

He teamed up with Microsoft to release “My Blue Thoughts,” a place for people struggling to share what they were going through and to let go of something weighing them down.
