Miley Cyrus is a two-time Grammy Award-winning (and Golden Globe nominee) American singer-songwriter and actress. Cyrus is a teen idol and is known for her role in the hit Disney Channel show Hannah Montana. She has also enjoyed a successful music career as an adult with hit singles like “Wrecking Ball (2013),” and “We Can’t Stop (2013).” She has sold over 20 million records worldwide. She has had a great amount of success in both the music and film industry both as a child and as an adult. Miley Cyrus was born Destiney Hope Cyrus on November 23, 1993, in Tennessee. Her father is the legendary country singer Billy Rae Cyrus (who also starred in Hannah Montana as her father).  She started her career as a child actress on shows and films like Big Fish and Hannah Montana.
