Flashback Artist of the Month for February 2021

Bio

Natalie Maria Cole was born on February 6, 1950 and was an American singer, songwriter, and actress. In the mid-1970s Cole made her name in the R&B genre and is well-known for her accomplishments in the music industry. Cole released several soul, R&B, pop, and soft rock song throughout her career. She also has sold over 30 million records and won seven Grammy Awards.

 

As a young girl, Natalie Cole was exposed to the jazz and soul industry and was the daughter of Nat King Cole and Maria Hawkins Ellington. You may recognize some of her infamous songs, such as “This Will Be” and “Our Love”. She passed away on December 31, 2015 at the age of 65 in Los Angeles, California.
