NBC announces Snoop Dogg will join their coverage of the 2024 Paris Olympics

As many of us prepared to say goodbye to 2023, NBC announced that multi-hyphenated rapper Snoop Dogg will join their primetime coverage of the 2024 Paris Olympics. The announcement was made during the halftime of Sunday Night Football’s coverage on NBC and Peacock.

To some, the news may come as a surprise, to others it is a natural progression in his relationship with NBC, having served as a commentator in “Olimpic Highlights With Kevin Hart and Snoop Dogg” (2021). Snoop will be on-site and provide coverage while speaking with NBC Olympics host Mike Tirico, providing the primetime U.S. audience with his unique take. Additionally, Snoop will be exploring the city’s iconic landmarks, attending Olympic competitions and events, visiting the athletes, their friends, and families.

“I grew up watching the Olympics and am thrilled to see the incredible athletes bring their A-game to Paris. It’s a celebration of skill, dedication, and the pursuit of greatness,” said Snoop Dogg via NBC. “We’re going to have some amazing competitions and, of course, I will be bringing that Snoop style to the mix. It’s going to be the most epic Olympics ever, so stay tuned, and keep it locked. Let’s elevate, celebrate, and make these games unforgettable, smoke the competition, and may the best shine like gold. Peace and Olympic LOVE, ya dig?”.

Many of the world’s greatest athletes will convene this summer in Paris as the city hosts the Summer Games for the third time. Event organizers hope to make the games more accessible and to showcase their city’s beauty to the world. With events taking place near the Eiffel Tower, at Palace of Versailles, as well as at Place de la Concorde, the 2024 Summer Olympics are sure to be a spectacle.
