Chris Kelly
Bio: Christian Kelly is an independent filmmaker and writer hailing from the vibrant island of Puerto Rico. He is currently completing his Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts and Communications,
focusing on honing his skills in visual storytelling and creative expression. With a broad range of expertise in the realms of filmmaking, writing, and theater, Christian’s focus is on cultural enrichment and finding common ground by telling relatable stories through the lens of the Boricua experience in different mediums.
Christian's passion for the arts was ignited at a young age. After completing his high school education at José Julián Acosta Y Calvo High School in Old San Juan, specializing in all
aspects of theater from executive production to acting, directing, stage management and beyond, Christian's fascination with storytelling deepened. He discovered the power of narratives to spark emotion, inspire change, and connect people from all walks of life. These days, Christian spends his free time developing projects and events as one of three co-founders of MonoVisión PR. They are a creative collective dedicated to independent film and video production, that also focuses on aiding other local artists with their creative endeavors, education and building community through a variety of activities for the development of the arts in Puerto Rico. Currently, all of their independent projects have achieved recognition both locally, in the diaspora and internationally. Christian is thrilled to be a part of NYC Tastemakers’s team and wishes to enrich his voice as a writer and communicator for a global audience.
