Paul O’Neil and Warrior 21 Beer

What’s Brewing?

There’s nothing better than a cold beer on a hot summer day at the Stadium, or ballyards across America. And since the days of the Babe, baseball players have been known to knock down a beer or two in the clubhouse after a big win or a tough loss.

But has a diamond boy ever brewed his own, and had his nickname and number adorned the beer.

Enter Yankees legend Paul O’Neill.

Warrior 21 is a Hazy/Northeast style India Pale Ale brewed by Wolf & Warrior Brewing Company in White Plains, NY, in collaboration with the five-time Yankees World Series champion right fielder, better known as the Warrior.

Warrior 21 is the first Hazy/Northeast style IPA to ever be brewed in collaboration with a professional baseball player; the first beer to be brewed in collaboration with a Yankees player; and the first beer of ever to be brewed in collaboration with a World Series champion.

This IPA is 6.5% abv and fully loaded with aromas and flavors of juicy citrus and sweet stone fruits, with a beautiful creamy hazy orange gold body. The hottest hops in beer right now round out the recipe: Citra, Strata, Mosaic and Lotus!

Fans in Westchester can join the Bronx Bomber great, now a YES Network analyst, when he relaunches the appropriately-named IPA beer – “Warrior 21” — at Wolf & Warrior Brewing Co. in White Plains, New York, this Friday night, February 2, from 5:30 to 7:00pm. The freshly brewed batch will be unveiled by the Yankees icon in collaboration with Michael Chiltern, owner/brewer of Wolf & Warrior.

O’Neill and Chiltern will be joined by sports memorabilia industry leader Brandon Steiner, founder of CollectibleXchange.com and a co-collaborator in the effort.

O’Neill will meet and greet with fans in attendance for autographs and photo ops, while joining the Yankee faithful and beer aficionados for a taste of the IPA.

Wolf & Warrior Brewing Co. is located at 195A East Post Road in White Plains, NY 10601.
