Rev Con at Hyde Park

If you enjoy Revolutionary War Reenactments and History Facts, then you will enjoy RevCon 2026, where you can celebrate America’s 250th birthday, which takes place on Saturday, June 13th, 2026, at the FDR Presidential Library and Museum in Hyde Park, New York. This family-friendly event is free and runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This year’s living history event will once again feature cannon and musket demonstrations, tactics discussions, exhibitions of military camp life and uniforms, and questions-and-answers sessions about life in Revolutionary America.

New at RevCon this year will be the “Commander in Cheers” beer tasting, which is part of Dutchess County’s Rev250 celebration, where local brewers have crafted limited-edition Commander in Cheers beers, which are available in commemorative cans.

You can sample these beers as well as listen to the stories of Dustchess County’s revolutionary heroics as told by a pint-sized, augmented reality version of George Washington, which is also known as “Tiny George,” by scanning the code found on the specially-marked coasters.

The events this year at RevCon are from 10-11 a.m., the Dutchess Rev250 Programming Grant Awards Event. 10:30a.m-12:30pm a Oxen Demo and Wagon Ride. 11:30a.m-12:15 is the Micheal Gabriel Lecture.

At 11:30 a.m-12 p.m. is the Children’s Musket Drill, followed by the Musket/Cannon Demo at 12:30-1 pm, after lunch at 1:30-2:30 pm will be the Oxen and Draft Horse Demos, at 2-4 pm will be the Commander in Cheers Beer Tastings, followed by another Children’s Musket Drill 2:30-3 pm and another Musket/Cannon Demo at 3-3:30 pm. The events will end with the Sara Evenson Presentation.

Hosted by the Destination Dutchess and Dutchess County Department of History, RevCon is a multi-year Revolutionary War Reenactment and History Fair commemorating America’s Semiquincentennial. This event will surely be entertaining for the whole family.
