Romeo Santos aka “The King of Bachata” is an American singer-songwriter and record producer; he is one of the most best selling Latin artist of all time as he has sold over 40 million albums worldwide, won 17 Billboard Latin Music Awards, 8 Premio Lo Nuestro Awards, and has been nominated for numerous other awards including several Grammy’s for “Best Tropical Album Award.” Romeo started his career as the lead singer for the bachata boy band “Aventura” which enjoyed worldwide and commercial success, he later started his solo career with his debut album “Formula, Vol. 1 (2011)”, the single “You” from the album was number 1 on the Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart. Being bilingual, Santos has released music in both the English and Spanish language and has collaborated with a number of other high profile artist like Usher, Drake, Marc Anthony, and many more! Romeo Santos was born in the Bronx, New York City July 21, 1981 and he was raised in a humble household, Santos was born to a Puerto Rican mother and a Dominican father. He has always has a vocal ability as he joined his church choir when he was a little boy.
