Rosalía Vila Tobella, also known as Rosalía, is a Spanish singer and songwriter who reshaped traditional flamenco music by blending it with hip-hop influences. She was born on September 25, 1992, in Barcelona, and gained widespread recognition after her single “Malamente” became a hit in 2018. Rosalía also collaborated with J Balvin on the popular track “Con Altura,” which earned over a billion views on YouTube by October 2019.

Rosalía has won numerous awards, including 13 Latin Grammy Awards, and has made history as the first woman to win Album of the Year twice in the Latin rock, urban, or alternative category. In 2019, she was the first best new artist nominee to be recognized for a Spanish-language album. In addition to her music, Rosalía made an appearance in the critically acclaimed Spanish film “Dolor y Gloria” in 2019, which was nominated for an Oscar and starred Antonio Banderas and Penélope Cruz.
