Steven Allan Spielberg, born Dec 18th, 1946, is an American filmmaker. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential filmmakers in the history of cinema and is the highest-grossing film director of all time. He studied film in college, and he made his debut in television in Duel in 1971 and in movies with The Sugarland Express in 1974.

He has received 3 Academy Awards, 4 Golden Globe Awards, 4 BAFTA Awards, 12 Emmy Awards, a Tony Award, and a Grammy Award. He also got an AFI Life Achievement Award in 1995, an honorary knighthood in 2001, and the National Medal of Arts in 2023.
