Stroman knows the Yankees Way!

When the New York Yankees signed star pitcher Marcus Stroman, the first thing I asked myself was does he do anything to help children.

Well the first thing I found out was that he is a children’s book author. While with the Chicago Cubs, he wrote two children’s books that dealt with children’s issues.

When I looked further into his off-field scenarios I would find out that he also has a foundation that helps kids find and develop their hopes and dreams.

Ironically his father Earl is a retired police detective who worked very closely with my two police officer sons.

Earl for years was and is involved with youth programs in New York so it doesn’t surprise me that Marcus has a passion for extending his hand and heart to help the youth of this country. Below you will see a link to a charity auction etc that he has going on.

Since my early days with Thurman Munson, Bobby Murcer, Willie Randolph, Catfish, and Reggie… this has always been the Yankee way. God bless Marcus and the whole Stroman family for understanding the importance of giving back.
