Female Model of the Month for October 2026
Ryann Maegen Hoven, aka Tess Holliday, is an influential American plus-size model and makeup artist. Born in Laurel, Mississippi, Holiday’s modeling career began in 2011 when Torrid accepted and signed her on following the company’s ‘House of Dreams Model Search’. Additionally, Holiday was picked by A&E to be the face of the documentary television series Heavy, resulting in a nationwide ad and billboard campaign with her face featured. This gave her a big break within the mainstream public, leading to her appearing in ad campaigns for Benefit Cosmetics, featured in Vogue Italia and Nylon magazine.
Eventually, by 2014, Holliday was able to pursue modelling full-time. A year later, she signed on to the London-based modeling agency Milk Model Management on their plus-size division, becoming the largest model plus-sized model of her size to be with a mainstream modeling agency.
Holiday has featured on campaigns by Yours Clothing, H&M, and Penningtons in collaboration with Holiday’s own capsule collection. Additionally, she has appeared in editorials including People, Elle, Marie Claire UK, and more
