Why Kramer is the best character in Seinfeld (Op-Ed)

As a massive fan of the hit TV series Seinfeld, I have seen the show a countless number of times all the way through. The show is known for its unique characters and situations, but throughout all my time watching, Kramer just stands out. His timing, his jokes, his stories, everything is just perfect. And that is why he is the best player in Seinfeld.

The number one thing that makes Kramer distinct is the fact that he lives the least conventional lifestyle. All of Jerry, George, and Elaine date and live with significant others at some point. Kramer’s social life is completely different from all the rest. He lives just across the hall, but it almost seems to be a world of his own.

One of my other favorite things about Kramer is all of his business ventures. The bro, the coffee table book about coffee tables, and even his make-your-own-pizza restaurant. He had tons of wild ideas throughout the nine seasons there was always something. This outlandish out-of-the-box thinking makes his character even more hysterical.

Perhaps what the character is best known for is his absurd entrances into Jerry’s apartment. The physical comedy used by actor Michael Richards is a true comedic genius. They showcase just how unpredictable and wildly quirky Kramer is. The over-the-top humor is not only unexpected by the audience but also by the other characters. The exaggerated entrances always got the biggest laugh and are one of the most iconic parts of the entire show.
