Zendaya and Timothée Chalamet’s 2022 Oscars Stunning Looks

Zendaya and Timothée Chalamet’s looks for the red carpet caused a spike in “gender-neutral looks” searches. According to WWD, the queries for items related to both Zendaya and Timothée’s Oscar looks increased in the hours after the award show. Searches for “unisex fashion” also spiked by 326 percent.

Chalamet opted for a shirtless look: a black tuxedo jacket with lace detailing on the sleeves and black fitted pants by Louis Vuitton from their spring 2022 womenswear collection by Nicolas Ghesquière. He also rocked black leather boots by the brand.

Zendaya, on the other hand, wore a Valentino two-piece consisting of a short white satin cropped button-down blouse and a matching sequined silver skirt with a flowing train. The look was inspired by Sharon Stone’s 1998 Oscars outfit, consisting of a Gap white button-up blouse paired with a lilac Vera Wang satin skirt.

Zendaya was caught interrupting Chalamet, her Dune co-star and real-life friend, during his red carpet interview. “Okay!” Zendaya shouted across the carpet to Chalamet, who stopped his interview to answer: “What’s up? Okay!” The Euphoria star responded by pointing toward his outfit, predicting the impact it would have on the Internet and social media.

According to WWD, searches for “men’s sequin jackets” and “Timothee Chalamet fashion” increased by 257 percent and 100 percent, respectively. While searches for “women’s cropped shirts” and “women’s suits” increased by 135 percent and 43 percent, respectively.

“Dune” was nominated for 10 Academy Awards including Best Picture. Zendaya and Chalamet became close friends while filming the movie, and they can be seen having fun together on their social media even after the film’s release. “We got in a nice, beautiful rhythm, where we were able to snap into focus on scenes but we had so much fun, too,” Chalamet said about his co-star.

The movie they co-starred alongside Jason Momoa finally was awarded 6 Oscars for Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Score, Best Visual Effects, Best Production Design, and Best Sound.
