The Mets Break Out of Losing Streak

Throughout the season so far, New York’s Mets have had a bad string of defeats. Out of the eleven games they have played before the Atlanta Braves, they lost ten of them from the terrible slump they have been in. However, because of their victory against the Braves, this now seems to be the turning point for the team to break out of the slump and win more games.

It can’t be understated how instrumental Juan Soto was during the game. Juan managed to hit two home runs in the game against the Braves, which was followed by an impressive offensive performance during the fourth inning. The Braves continued to struggle the entire game trying to gain back their lead, but the effort was wasted. Being the second game that they have won all season, it was a huge confidence boost for the team and the fans.

This win couldn’t have come at a better time, as the Mets are rumored to be interested in trading players with other teams to help bolster their roster. MLB themselves have even stated that a contributing factor to their slump is the large number of players that are underperforming, leading to the Mets leaning on their top players to win games. The game displays this perfectly, as most of the highlights are only filled with the Mets’ best players. Hopefully, this win will generate more interest in trading. It’s up to the Mets to ensure that this win wasn’t a fluke and that they can start up a new streak of wins that the team desperately needs.
