Bio

McKenna Grace is a famous American actress. She is best known for her work as a child actor, but has continued to see success year after year. She won the Next Generation of Hollywood Award in 2020. She is also a singer, with her work having been featured on some of her films’ soundtracks. She released her debut EP, Bittersweet 16, in 2023.

Grace was born in Grapevine, TX, on June 25, 200,6 and raised in Dallas-Fort Worth. As a child, she participated in cheerleading, gymnastics, tap dance, and ballet. She also competed in beauty pageants and was crowned Tiny Miss Texas. She began to show interest in acting at the age of 4, after watching films starring Shirley Temple with her great-grandmother. Her parents quickly signed her up for acting classes, and later moved to LA after she landed her first role in the Disney sitcom Crash & Bernstein

Grace made her film debut in 2013 in Goodbye World. Over the next few years, she would appear in recurring TV roles on The Young and the Restless and The Vampire Diaries. She also appeared in films such as The Angry Birds Movie and Independence Day: Resurgence; however, the films did not receive popular reviews. Grace finally got her big break when she was cast in the 2017 film Gifted. Working alongside Chris Evans, Grace was praised for her emotional performance and was even nominated for the Critics’ Choice Movie Award for Best Young Performer. 

Grace would go on to be in I, Tonya (2017) before finding her stride in the horror genre. She appeared in The Bad Seed (2018) remake, Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House TV show (2018), and made appearances in the CBS sitcom Young Sheldon. 2019 was a big year for Grace as she appeared in Troop Zero, Captain Marvel, and Annabelle Comes Home. She was also cast as Esther Keyes in Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale, which earned her an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series in 2021. 

Grace has also worked on Dreamworks’ Spirit Untamed (2021), Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021), The Bad Seed Returns (2022), Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire (2024), What We Hide (2025), and many more. Her most recent appearance was in Scream 7 (2026), and she is currently working on Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, scheduled to release later this year.  

Grace was included on the Hollywood Critics Association’s Next Generation of Hollywood List in 2020. For her work in Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Grace was nominated for the 2021 Critics’ Choice Super Award for Best Actress in a Science Fiction/Fantasy Movie. That same year, she was also nominated for the Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series Emmy for her appearance in The Handmaid’s Tale
