Top 5 TV Shows for May 2026

There are so many great TV shows out these days, and all different genres. My favorites are a bit all over the place: drama, animation, romance, thriller. Something for everyone, and I’m sure that you will enjoy this list.

1. All Her Fault

All her Fault is a mystery thriller starring Dakota Fanning, Sarah Snook, and Jake Lacy. The story is that Marissa Irvine goes over to a friend’s house to pick up her son, Milo, from a play date. When the woman opens the door to greet Marissa, she says that she’s never heard of her or of her son. Marissa and her husband are desperate to find their son, and they form an unlikely friendship as they hunt for Milo. They later find out that Milo was picked up by a woman named Carrie Finch. You later find out who Carrie Finch is and why she took Milo.

2. Bob’s Burgers

Bob’s Burgers is an adult animated series about a family that owns a burger restaurant and is struggling to make ends meet. Bob, his wife Linda, and their three kids, Tina, Gene, and Louise, get into a lot of different funny situations. Linda is always singing, Bob frequently tells family that he loves them, but they are “all terrible, Tina is obsessed with boys and butts, Gene loves music, and Louise is the sarcastic one of the family. They get into all sorts of trouble, but every episode is bound to make you laugh and fall in love with the family.

3. Love on a Spectrum

This show follows individuals on the autism spectrum who are looking for loving relationships. It’s very diverse in what levels they are on the spectrum, and they all have unique personalities. Connor, who is very literal, is higher than most, and there is Madison, who loves dolls. Some fall in love, and some get heartbroken. It’s exciting to see if a relationship will continue and sad when they end. One couple bonded quickly over lions and even went to Africa together, but they recently broke up after 5 years, and another couple got engaged. This show helps people not on the spectrum to understand it more and understand the fact that they come in all personalities.

4. Black Mirror

Black Mirror is unique in that every episode is about different people, different plots, different everything. If you don’t like one episode, you may love another episode. From exploring fears through a unique simulation, to remembering loved ones with a device that lets you relive the moment in a photograph. Even an episode where a woman loses her husband and can “order” an identical one, but it’s a little off, and she soon regrets it. This show is so unique that it will have you wanting more.

5. Bluey

I know what you are thinking, a kid’s show? When I was told about this show, I thought the same thing. After I watched it, I fell in love. The family isn’t over the top; it’s not perfect. It is accurate about how family life is with two working parents and small children. It’s very popular among the neurodivergent community. The show makes me laugh, cry, and squeal like a little kid. The different episodes keep you entertained, but they are also only 7 minutes long, which is good at keeping a young child’s attention. Even parents love the show.
