This song is about finding an old phone that was hidden away for years, seeing all the old pictures, messages to exes, friends that have passed away, and wishing that you never found the phone to get all the bad memories back. I chose this song because it reminds me of looking at old pictures on social media and missing people who are no longer in my life.
2 – Beautiful by Eminem
This song is about realizing how messed up the world can be even when you are famous and trying to survive it. I chose this song because it makes me realize that even though I am not perfect and make mistakes, I can still survive the world no matter how bad it gets
3 – Not Afraid by Eminem
This is about not letting things that happen in your past affect your future and showing that no matter what, you shouldn’t be afraid, and my favorite lyric of this song is “I’d shoot for the moon, but I am too busy gazing at the stars, I feel amazing.” I love this song because I feel like my future is scary, but I have great people who make it better and make me want to stop to gaze at the stars.
4 – Somebody You Loved by Lewis Capaldi
This song is about realizing that someone you loved never loved you back and that even if you worked your hardest to make it work out, you could never be somebody they loved. I chose this song because the people that have left my life and made me think they loved me have left, and even though I miss them, I am better because of it.
5 – Ruin the Friendship by Taylor Swift
This song is about wishing that the person you have a huge crush on, that you could ruin the friendship and just kiss them, but you don’t want to risk the friendship. I chose this song because I had a time when I had a crush on my best friend; it never became anything, and I never confessed because I was scared I’d ruin that friendship and bond we already had.
