Enrique “Ricky” Martin Morales was born on December 24th 1971, and is a Puerto Rican singer and songwriter. He is known for his musical versatility in incorporating a wide variety of elements, such as Latin pop, dance, reggaeton, salsa, and other genres. He is known as “King of Latin pop and is regarded as one of the most influential artists in the world.

He began his solo career in 1991 while at Sony Music Mexico, gaining recognition after he released his two studio albums, Ricky Martin in 1991 and Me Amaras in 1993. His third album, A Medio Vivir, helped him rise to prominence in European countries. The album Vuelve earned him his first Grammy Award, and his first English album, Ricky Martin, became his first US Billboard 200 number one. Livin’ la Vida Loca” topped both the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Singles Chart. He has sold over 70 million records worldwide. As an actor, he took a role in the hit soap opera General Hospital from 94 to 96.

On Instagram on March 30th, 2016, he posted a picture with Jwan Yosef titled “obviously we are starting a band,” and in Jan 2018 Martin confirmed they secretly got married on Dec 31st 2018. Martin announced they had welcomed a daughter. They announced they were expecting their fourth child in September 2019, all the children being born via surrogacy. In July 2023, the couple announced they were divorcing after six years of marriage.
