A deleted scene from “Deadpool & Wolverine” shows Channing Tatum’s character is alive

It has been a little over a month since the release of “Deadpool & Wolverine” in theaters. With all the spoilers now public knowledge, the stars of the movies as well as those who made cameos in the film have begun to talk more openly about the movie.

Most recently, Ryan Reynolds who plays Deadpool took to social media to share a deleted scene from the movie. The scene shows that Channing Tatum’s character “Gambit” did survive when it seemed he died at the end of the film.

He posted the video along with the caption, “*whispers* Marvel Sparkle Circle #DeadpoolAndWolverine” he then replied to the original post saying “A version of the sequence is in the film — on one of the monitors in the deep background of the TVA”

This means that Gambit could return in another multiversal movie but not in a movie that takes place in the current Marvel universe. For those who don’t speak nerd, this essentially leaves the door open for him to return as his favorite comic book character but does not necessarily mean he will star in a movie.

Tatum had tried for years to play Gambit in a movie, but Marvel just did not see a way to get him into their films. That was until Ryan Reynolds heard of Tatum’s wish and advocated for him to be in “Deadpool & Wolverine”. Channing Tatum recently posted on social media thanking Reynolds for helping him fulfill his dream. He wrote, “I thought I had lost Gambit forever, but he fought for me and Gambit. I will owe him probably forever. Cause I’m not sure how I could ever do something that would be equal to what this has meant to me. I love ya buddy.”
