Latin Artist of the Month for December 2019
Youth, versatility, explosiveness and talent are the words that define MS Sinaloense band. After several years and after having belonged to different groups for which they paraded as teenagers, some of the now members decide to meet to form their own musical project and for more than a year they planned the birth of the new band.
Finally in 2003, MS band was born in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, where they take the initials to give the group its name; Here its founders managed to combine their ideas and concerns to offer people a different and original proposal, using their own formula, because apart from making quality sinaloense music, they print their cheerful and agile touch.
With firm goals the band started with 15 members and always with the purpose of shining with their own light and achieving transcend. Nowadays, MS band has taken very big steps and far from being a Sinaloense band, it has become a successful band. Despite his short career, MS band is one of the strongest and most talked about today.
His first album made his debut in the year 2004 entitled No will, of which the songs “You Can’t” and “La Suata” were very popular at local radio stations, both songs are authored by his vocalist Oswaldo Silvas. Shortly afterwards, it was decided to integrate Alan Manuel Ramírez Salcido, as the second vocalist of the group, since with two voices the group sought to offer versatility to the interpretations of its themes.
A year later, they released the album titled My Greatest Longing, whose first single was the song “Yesterday I saw her on the street”, a rancher song that sounded very good locally; The second single was the namesake of the title of the album, which also proved to be very well accepted both Sinaloa, but also outside it. “My greatest desire” was placed in the first places at the radio stations in Sinaloa, and was even awarded as “The Best Theme of the Year”. Subsequently they record and release the album entitled The Happy Race, which includes only corridos, highlighting “El 24” and “Chuy y Mauricio”, songs that made MS band more popular.
The musical production entitled Escuela de rancho comes out in the year 2007 and from here the theme “El Mechón”, a song that became an event and that catapults in Mexico and the United States, came off. Thanks to this song, they obtained recognition for the “Best Dance Theme” in the American Union. With a ripped, versatile and original musical style, MS band has distinguished itself since its inception for being different from the other groups; for example, by wearing in their suits numbers that distinguish each of the members and whose meaning is personal (birthday, birth date of a child, an anniversary, etc.).
