This weekend Beyoncé released her new visual album with music based on The Lion King: The Gift, the album that she released last year. The project was written, directed, and executive produced by Beyoncé and features appearances by many well-known artists, such as Beyoncé herself, along with JAY-Z, Naomi Campbell, Kelly Rowland, and more! Fashion, music, and art all come together in this album to educate viewers on Black ancestry and experiences. The album tells the story of a young king’s journey through betrayal, love, and self-identity with the guidance of his ancestors, father’s teachings, and childhood love, in a way that honors the journey of Black families throughout time. Beyoncé Announces ‘Renaissance’ World Tour
This is not a drill: Beyoncé is heading on tour.
On Wednesday, the superstar singer announced her eagerly awaited “Renaissance World Tour” is coming with a post on her verified Instagram account. On her official site, she states that the tour will kick off in Stockholm, Sweden, in May and span Europe before hitting Philadelphia in July. Currently, the tour concludes in New Orleans at Caesars Superdome in September. A tour announcement for Beyoncé’s seventh album, “Renaissance,” was long anticipated by her devoted fan base, the Bey Hive. In 2018, she and her husband, rapper Jay-Z, toured 48 cities across North America and Europe as part of the “On the Run II” tour.
