Beyoncé Shares New Visual Album Black Is King

The moment Beyoncé fans have been waiting for his here! The album Black Is King was first teased with the release of the trailer on YouTube on July 19th and has finally been released! This weekend Beyoncé released her new visual album with music based on The Lion King: The Gift, the album that she released last year. The project was written, directed, and executive produced by Beyoncé and features appearances by many well-known artists, such as Beyoncé herself, along with JAY-Z, Naomi Campbell, Kelly Rowland, and more! Fashion, music, and art all come together in this album to educate viewers on Black ancestry and experiences. The album tells the story of a young king’s journey through betrayal, love, and self-identity with the guidance of his ancestors, father’s teachings, and childhood love, in a way that honors the journey of Black families throughout time.
