MTV officially announced that “Magic Mike” star Channing Tatum will be the recipient of this year’s MTV Trailblazer Award, an honor given to actors and actresses who have blazed a unique path to fame. In fact, Tatum will be the first actor to ever win the three-year-old prize. Past winners have been not only women but both Emmas: “Harry Potter” actress Emma Watson and “The Amazing Spider-Man” love interest Emma Stone. “Channing Tatum is the quintessential leading man for the MTV audience,” said MTV President Stephen Friedman. “He proves that an action hero can have both a quick wit and a large heart.” Tatum, who can be seen this summer in “22 Jump Street,” the sequel to the comedy hit “21 Jump Street,” will receive his award on April 13 from none other than “Ted” co-star Mila Kunis. We’ll be tuning in for that one!
