The Trump Administration has an odd relationship with Russia, especially throughout the brutal conflict of the Ukraine-Russia war. Despite being the United States’ longtime ally, the Trump Administration has increasingly been showing support for Russia in recent years. From waiving sanctions to accepting oil, it seems that the current American administration is doing its best to undermine Ukraine in hopes of bettering US-Russia relations.
It’s a recent political move that has puzzled many, but it’s far from the first by President Trump and his administration. It would be easy to label every person within the Trump administration complete idiots, and while that would be gratifying, we all need to keep in mind that these people are unfortunately far smarter than people give them credit for.
Since the fallout of the 2024 election, the motivation of the Trump administration has been clear as day: to make a profit. Every action they take aims to make a select few wealthy groups within the United States and across the globe wealthy, at the expense of everyone else.
Donald Trump, while he keeps up this ever-fading front of being America first. is more interested in his image and in illegally expanding his wealth while in office. However, this coming 2026 election is set to change things, likely in a way that Trump doesn’t like. With his popularity at its lowest it’s ever been in both of his terms, fueled by the current Iran war and its effects on things like gas. Trump is pulling out all the stops to try and elevate his reputation before election day.
