Leon George Thomas III, who performs under the name Leon Thomas, is an American singer and songwriter, known for R&B, soul, and hip-hop. Born on August 1, 1993, in Brooklyn, New York, Thomas got his start on the stage as a child Broadway actor, appearing in The Lion King and The Color Purple. 

He would shift his focus to music in the late 2010s, where he worked as a producer with friend Khris Riddick-Tynes, releasing 3 mixtapes and his Genesis EP in 2018. In 2022, he signed with EZMNY Records and Motown and went on to release his first album, Electric Dusk, in 2023. His second album, Mutt, was released in 2024

Thomas won the Grammy for Best R&B Song for his work with SZA on Snooze in 2025. His second album has seen success and earned him 6 nominations at the 2026 Grammys, of which he won the Best R&B Album and Best Traditional R&B Performance for Vibes Don’t Lie.
