Juan Luis Londono Arias, known professionally as Maluma, is a Colombian rapper, singer, songwriter and actor. He was born and raised in Medellin where he developed an interest of music at a young age. He released his debut album, Magia, in 2012. His breakthrough album was 2015’s Pretty Boy, Dirty Boy. 

On May, 2026, Maluma released his Seventh studio album featuring 14 songs including four previously released tracks. The album has a blend of pop, reggaeton, salsa, vallenato, and acoustic pop. He defines his music at “urban pop.” and has cited that Justin Timberlake and Micheal Jackson as his main musical influences. 

He has been nominated for several awards in 2013, including best Latin America central act at the MTV Europe Music Awards. and the Best New Artist at the Latin Grammy Awards. in 2017 he was nominated for two categories at the Billboard Music Awards. in 2019 he was awarded Premio ASCAP for Songwriter of the year. In 2020 he won at MTV Video Music Award for Best Latin.
