Bio
Michael Jackson who was born on August 29th, 1958, was an American singer, songwriter, dancer and philanthropist. He was dubbed has “King of Pop” and is widely regarded as one of the most culturally signficat figures of the 20th century, Through his songs, concerts and fashion, he proliferated visual performance for artists in the popular music, popularizing street dance moves such as the moonwalk, the robot, and the anti-gravity lean. 
 
He was the 8th child of the Jackson family and made his debut at age six as the lead singer of the Jackson 5. He achieved unprecedented global success with Thriller in 1982 which is the best-selling album in history. his album Bad in 1987 was the first album to produce five US Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles. While preparing for This Is It, a series of comeback concerts, he died in 2009 from a overdose of propofol administered by his personal physician Conrat Murry. His death caused a spike in his music sales.
 
He estimated sales of over 500 million records worldwide as a solo artist and is one of the three musicians to have sold more than 100 million records both as solo artists and a principal member of a band. He holds 13 Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles and is the only artists to have a US top-ten single in six decades. He one 13 Grammy, 26 America Music Awards and 3 Us presidential honors and is inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice.
