NYC Restaurant Week Begins July 19

CBS New York has reported that New York City Restaurant Week is making a comeback, which will last for over a month. Restaurant Week is back, and it will occur over the course of five weeks from July 19 to Aug. 22.

On July 12, the New York City Mayor’s Office announced on Twitter that “NYC Restaurant Week is back and this time it’s 5 weeks long! More than 500 restaurants across all 5 boroughs are participating from July 19 to August 22.”

The return of Restaurant Week means that over 500 restaurants will be offering special deals to customers. Their menus will have special prices for lunch and dinner; meal options with one entree and one side will be available for $21 or $39 depending on the location and mealtime. “Signature Dining Experiences,” which include three or more courses, will be priced at $125.

Some of the popular restaurants participating in Restaurant Week include Sarabeth’s (at four different locations across the city), Veselka, and Catch NYC. Sarabeth’s is known for its contemporary American food and prime location bordering Central Park. The cafe will be offering lunch for $21 onsite and dinner for $39 onsite. Veselka, a renowned Ukrainian eatery in the East Village, will offer $21 lunches onsite. Catch NYC is a contemporary seafood restaurant in the Meatpacking District known for its celebrity chef, Hung Huynh. Catch will offer $39 dinners onsite and $21 Sunday brunches.

The five-week long event will be sponsored by Mastercard, Stella Artois, American Airlines, and Opentable. Happy dining!
