When Lil Wayne released his I Am Not a Human Being album he really proved to be one of the leading rappers in the music industry. The “Young Money Cash King” reached #1 on the Billboard 200 chart, which made him the first artist since Tupac to rise to the top while imprisoned. When he finishes the sequel album, I Am Not a Human Being II he will not be locked down, and hopes to claim the #1 spot once again.
Wayne told MTV News: “I Am Not A Human Being II, that’s what I’m workin’ on right now, actually I’m finished. The difference between [this] album and the last I Am Not a Human Being would be the music wasn’t rushed. Last time the music was rushed because I had to take that eight-month vacation on that island so we had rushed the music, but this time we didn’t rush the music.” The first album was released when Lil Wayne was locked on Rikers Island in New York after being charged with criminal possession of a weapon and marijuana.
After being released, the rapper continued to release albums. The Carter IV album (2011), in its debut week sold nearly a million copies. Instead of continuing with the Carter line, Wayne decided to produce the sequel to I Am Not a Human Being. The first single in the album features Big Sean.
The rapper did not announce a release date for his album, however, he said: “I paid attention to everything I did. You’re getting the quality of all my albums: The Carter IV, The Carter III, the same with this I Am Not A Human Being II. Hope you like it.” I’m sure we will like it, Lil Wayne!
