Samsung’s New TV Channel

With more than 88 million monthly active users, Samsung TV Plus is reaching heights no man has ever seen before. Over 700 channels have been added to the platform’s already loaded library. Now, the brand has decided to do something different compared to its usual programming – going traditional.

Samsung Television Network has announced that they will be creating a new FAST Channel. This channel will feature late night TV heavyweights David Letterman and Conan O’Brien. Plus, the award-winning series “Killing Eve” will also be featured. An interesting direction for the company’s TV division.

David Letterman even joined the company at a live event to discuss the creation of his new channel, Letterman TV. 24/7 content of late night right at your fingertips should be enticing to comedy fans.

In Addition, Samsung announced that they will broadcast the Jonas Brothers upcoming tour. A great decision that hopefully leads to the platform streaming musical festivals and concerts in the line of Coachella, Glastonbury, Lollapalooza, and more. Maybe Samsung Television Network can potentially create a channel for Tyler The Creator’s Camp Gnaw Festival, we can only hope.

Overall, Samsung is looking to continue to put its stamp on entertainment. As explained by their spokespersons, the brand wants to hone in on their audience’s content selection. They want to rewrite the rules of streaming and feel the only way to do that is to partner with high end, elite talent. This year has 30% growth from TV Plus, so best to be on the lookout for the latest developments coming forth.
