On June 9 2017 Sza dropped her beloved debut album Ctrl and ever since then, fans
have been obsessed with her music. From songs like “Love Galore,” “The Weekend,”
and “Garden,” Ctrl has been on everyone’s minds since its first release.
Now on it’s firth anniversary of it’s release, SZA is celebrating by dropping a deluxe
version of her debut album, which features 7 never before listened to songs. According
to iHeart Radio, the previously unreleased tracks include an Alt version of “Love Galore”
as well as “2AM,” “Miles,” “Percolator,” “Tread Carefully,” “Awkward,” and “Jodie.”
The artist first teased dropping her new tracks on Twitter, tweeting “Unreleased songs in
2017 to celebrate 5…me thinks.” The very next day she clarified, “Everything made in
2014-2016/17….not new lol to be absolutely clear.”
Earlier in 2022, SZA was seen in the studio working with Bree Runaway, which made
fans believe that the artist was getting ready to make and release new music. She has
since then shared that her new album is done and fans could expect it very soon.
Although she hasn’t released much new music, SZA has won a Grammy with Doja Cat
for their collab “Kiss Me More,” winning the nomination for Best Pop Duo or Group
Performance. Her latest single was “I Hate U” which was released in 2021.
