Tonight, Doc Gooden will be the first of seven athletes to participate in the prescreening for Ben Affleck’s upcoming film, The Way Back. The Way Back is a film about a former basketball standout (Ben Affleck) whose life has been derailed due to alcohol addiction. He is offered a coaching job at his alma mater and is faced with the challenge of facing his demons to change his team for the better. The film also features Al Madrigal and Michela Watkins. It will be in theaters starting March 6th,2020. The prescreening, which came out of the partnership of Mental Health Celeb Alliance and Warner Bros, is 7 different cities, with 7 different fans, and with 7 different athletes who will answer some questions about their comeback stories. While the rest of the athletes and cities are to be announced, Doc Gooden will be first on February 18 in NYC.
