Tom Ford hails from Austin, Texas, and first found his place in fashion at the Parsons School of Design in Paris, where he had originally been studying architecture. Influenced by the style of his mother and grandmother, he went on to curate Gucci’s brand image in the 1990s, first as its Womenswear Designer and eventually as Creative Director, growing the fashion house’s sales by the billions.
