Von Thun’s Country Farm Market’s Annual Strawberry Festival To Welcome Visitors This Weekend

The annual Strawberry Festival at Von Thun’s Country Farm Market is returning this weekend. It is one of the many festivals within New Jersey to celebrate the strawberry season, which takes place between the months of May and June.

Families interested in participating should purchase tickets to the festival’s two locations, one in South Brunswick, New Jersey, and one in Washington, New Jersey.

Participants can expect a multitude of fun activities for all ages, including Strawberry picking, Hayriding, Face painting, Farm animals, Food vendors, games, and more. Tickets are divided into three categories: Berrie Picking and Activities, Activities Only, and Berry Picking Only.

For those who decide to go picking in the strawberry fields, they are required to purchase a container for the berries.

People often forget the lengthy history of farming within the state despite its moniker as the Garden State. Festivals like Von Thun’s Country Farm Market are a great way to reconnect people with nature and how our produce is locally grown.

Von Thun’s Country Farm Market Strawberry Festival begins this weekend, Saturday, May 23, and Sunday, May 24. Other dates include the weekends of May 30 through May 31, and  June 6 through June 7. The Strawberry festival opens at 10 AM EST and closes at 5 PM EST.

For more information on the Strawberry festival, its ticket prices, and more, potential visitors should head over to Von Thun’s Country Farm Market’s official website.
