What ‘Pro-Choice’ and ‘Pro-Life’ Mean to People Outside Politics

When it comes to pro-choice or pro-life, it goes beyond whether someone is right-wing or left-wing. There are tons of factors that influence the choices people make about their bodies. Whether it’s because they messed up and realized they can’t take care of a baby, or because pregnancy could mean life or death, or other factors, such as they were forced and it was beyond the woman’s control.

Either way, I personally am for pro-life, unless it’s life or death or out of the woman’s control. I have a genetic disorder that could lead to the life or death of either an unborn child or me, and I couldn’t forgive myself if I survived and they didn’t.

That said, if the woman had control of their actions and got pregnant by accident, I do not think it’s the unborn child’s fault, and they should not be aborted. There are plenty of people who can’t have children in the world, and it’s unfair that people can have them and either not take care of them or make the choice to abort. Plenty of children in the world who feel unwanted and wonder why their parents didn’t want them.

Someone who is pro-life can also be left-wing because a certain choice they feel about one side doesn’t mean they agree with everything. Pro-life and pro-choice are so much different from gun laws, or thoughts about immigration, taxes, or whatever else. Having a child is life altering and can be a blessing to some and a hardship on others.

I can understand why some people chose to abort but on the other hand as someone who can’t have children it makes me sad that there is a child that is so unwanted that they get rid of it. Because how I see it as soon as you see the pregnacy test say positive its a baby.

Everyone has different views on this very controversial subject and most of the time its justified but sometimes I just want to take those unborn babies and protect them. Until then I am prolife.
