The members of 5 Seconds Of Summer have done it again with the new release of their
song ‘Blender.’ Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Calum Hood, and drummer Ashton
Irwin released their brand new single on Wednesday, and as the title suggests, it’s a
mix of their innermost thoughts.
“All the things you said in my head/Ricochetting off the bed/Nothing left, what a
mess/Oh, my God, it never ends,” sings Hemmings. “Now we’re stressed and
depressed/And we’re going ’round again/In an еmotional blender.”
Seems like the band is really going through their feels, but at least they are doing it in a
fun, upbeat kinda way.
The new single is part of a collection of songs set to appear on the bands new
upcoming fifth studio album, 5SOS5. Fans were previously treated to singles such as
“Take my Hand,” “Complete Mess,” and “Me, Myself, & I.” The album is set to be
released on September 23.
“This album is a total ownership, a total realization, a total ascension of what the group
wants for themselves,” Irwin told People Magazine. “We’ve taken a lot of these things
into our own hands and it’s been an incredible testing journey.”
The Aussie band is currently on its Take My Hand World Tour, with its last stop being in
St. Louis, Miss. The group will then take the show to its native land starting on Nov 30.
and concluding in Sydney on Dec. 10.
